• CALUMET TOWNSHIP TURNS 150 YEARS OLD IN 2016

  A meeting will be held at 3:00 at the Calumet Township Office, 25880 Red Jacket Rd to discuss plans for the upcoming Calumet Township's 150 birthday in 2016
  

July 25, Saturday

• Heritage Hymn Festival at the Keweenaw Heritage Center - 7:00 pm

  Join us for a joyous evening of a mass choir leading the audience in a beautiful service of moving ethnic hymns, sharing the faith heritage that Copper Country immigrants brought to the Keweenaw.
  Dr. Michael Burkhardt, internationally known for his innovative and inspiring hymn festivals, has been invited to share his talents with us by preparing the mass choir and then leading the evening hymn festival.
  Dr. Burkhardt is currently Director of Worship and the Arts at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Livonia, Michigan, Director of Worship and the Arts for the Southeast Michigan Synod of the ELCA, and Artistic Director of the Detroit Handbell Ensemble.
  Admission is free, but a free-will offering will be appreciated.
  The Keweenaw Heritage Center is located at the corner of Fifth and Scott Streets, Calumet, Michigan
