June 1, Monday

• Deadline for filing PRE

  June 1st is the deadline for filing the Principal Residence Exemption Affidavit for exemption from the 18-mill school operating tax. The criteria for this exemption is you must own the property and claim it as your principal residence. This must be the address for your voter registration, driver's license and where you file your income tax from.

June 15, Monday

• Township Kicks Off Month-Long Drill Shop Fundraiser

  Calumet Township is running a crowd funding campaign from June 15th to July 17th to restore the Drill Shop building located next to the CLK Elementary School. Once completed, the Drill Shop building will be a year round activity and curling center. We need to raise $32,000 which will be matched by a State of Michigan MEDC grant for a total of $64,000.
