INDOOR SHOOTING RANGE
Welcome to the Calumet Township Indoor Range Page! The range is located directly behind the Calumet Colosseum (Ice Rink) at 110 Red Jacket Road. Follow the alley down the left or west side of the Colosseum, and it will lead directly to the Range front door. Please park to your left, against the fence line and do not block the township garage doors.

What to Expect When You Arrive
Park your vehicle along the fence or in the Colosseum lot, not in the Calumet High School lot or blocking the doors to the township garage.
Have your eye and ear protection ready to put on when you walk in the door to the range. Keep your firearm(s) unloaded and in a proper case when you arrive. No open carry, concealed carry, or any loaded firearms are allowed upon arrival.
There will be a Range Safety Officer (RSO) on duty to assist you and answer any questions. The RSO will have you place your cased firearm(s) on the table at the back of the range.
If this is a return visit in this calendar year, you should sign in and pay your range fee, then wait for instructions from the RSO.
If this is your first time ever or your first time in this calendar year, you will be required to sign a liability waiver and have a range safety briefing with the RSO before signing in.
Organized Events
Bullseye Pistol
(aka NRA Precision Pistol) practice and matches:
We hold two types of events, 22LR and centerfire
pistol and follow
NRA Precision Pistol rules. These are
friendly competitions open to anyone wishing to
work on pistol fundamentals. A typical match is
90 rounds and takes about an hour to complete.
Shooters can work on their NRA ratings or
compete at other clubs. If interested in this
rimfire or center fire opportunity, please email
us at
calumetrange@gmail.com and we will get you
involved with this group.
International
Defensive Pistol Association: These
tactical/defensive skills-oriented practices and
matches are held weekly during the winter
months. Emphasis is on safe use of a handgun in
self-defense situations. For more information,
Open/Public Shoots: The
range is open for public use during regularly
scheduled evening or weekend sessions from
December through May. Handgun calibers are
limited to .44 Special. See rules for details.
Training Courses: Other types of NRA and
related courses for Concealed Pistol License
certification and other firearms skills are
hosted by outside instructors. See our
range calendar for those event
opportunities.
