Boy Scout Camp Repaired

This summer, Calumet Township was contacted by Joshua Damsteegt, a Boy Scout with Troop 207. Joshua was looking for an Eagle Scout project, he suggested some much-needed repairs at the Boy Scout Camp at Calumet Waterworks Park.

Joshua first supplied the township with a list of repairs and a list of needed materials to make the repairs. The repairs included repainting the shelter and pavilion, reroofing the shelter and pavilion, replacing the screen and screen door on the shelter, and making some new benches for the park. Once Joshua had the go ahead for the project he went right to work and completed all the tasks within a few weeks.

Thank you to Joshua the Boy Scout Camp looks like new again and will last for many years.
